Hey guys! I feel like I have been out of the loop because of some personal errands that I needed to attend to. Don’t worry because I will be sharing to you soon what I have been really busy about for the past 2 months. (The sad thing is, I gained 5kg due to stress eating and without proper diet and exercise. HAHAHA) But before I tell you more about it, let me share another simple DIY project which you can easily make in your free time.
We have seen a lot of stylish people from social media influencers to celebrities wearing denim jackets with tribal prints. While this can be very expensive (Php2,000 up to Php15,000) and difficult to find, I have a simple way to achieve this look - make your own!
I thrifted (ukay-ukay) this denim jacket in Cebu for around Php150. You can actually find cheaper ones if you are patient. But I just fell in love with this jacket and bought it impulsively. (wink!) No regrets though. Hahaha The printed sweater I got for only Php25 four years ago. I actually forgot I still had this in my closet. Anyway, let's start with the project.
After I sewed the sleeves, I found the jacket missing something. Then, I remembered I had this shorts I bought in Thailand 7 years ago with printed back pockets. It was the perfect detail to add to my denim jacket.
Once I completed the project, I asked my sister to take some photographs so I can show you how it would look in an actual person. I believe the prints elevated and added personality to this oversized denim jacket.
I hope I inspired you to do this project. And hopefully, we get to share more Do-It-Yourself projects together. See you soon for more guys. :)
