I HAVE JUST ATTENDED COACHELLA! WELL, I ALMOST DID! HAHAHA
But please can I call myself a coachellite now? A Coachellite is someone who attends to Coachella. Okay, I won’t pretend to be such but I can definitely say, with confidence and integrity, I AM A CAKECHELLITE! Hahaha you must be really confused now! Well, on my defense, 10 Dove Street at SM Seaside opened with a Coachella Festival inspired event they called “CAKECHELLA”. And since I was there to cake party, I am a certified Cakechellite. :)
Well, it always pays to be early. For 10 Cakechellites, waking up early and falling in line for the grand opening of Cebu’s homegrown favorite Cakes and Pastries shop, 10 DOVE STREET at SM Seaside paid off - granting them Golden tickets. In addition to the 10 early doves, 100 more cake loving Cebuanos were granted Silver tickets. Those with golden tickets are entitled to get one whole cake per week for 10 weeks at 10 Dove Street SM Seaside. While the Silver ticket holders are granted one slice of cake per week for 10 weeks as well. The best part about these tickets are they are transferrable. This was the second time they had A Cake Lovers Unite event. The first time was in 10 Dove Street Oakridge. So if you missed out this opportunity, let’s just hope that 10 Dove Street comes up with Part 3 of the Cake Lovers Unite. For sure, because of the overwhelming response of the many cake lovers in Cebu, a part 3 is definitely possible.
We all know that Coachella is also the perfect place to meet new friends. I say, 10 Dove Street’s at SM Seaside “Cakechella” was no different. I met a lot of cake loving Cebuanos. I exchanged stories with them over delicious cakes and pastries. It was one of the events that I thoroughly enjoyed with my blogger friends. Maybe that’s why I suffered Festivalitis, a condition commonly contracted during Coachella. It was that great that I found myself in a state of nirvana. Well, when you are surrounded by delicious cakes and pastries and you get to try them all, that’s already a piece of Heaven on earth. Hahaha

WHAT I WORE TO CAKECHELLA
I got this 80’s-inspired jacket for Php20 in a thrift shop in Jones Avenue. Well, since the event was Coachella-inspired and you can wear anything in Coachella, I went for this ensemble so I would stand out in a sea of people. Mind you, 10 Dove Street’s Cakechella Festival was jam-packed. Sometimes, you need not to worry about standing out in the crowd. Especially when you feel confident and comfortable. Remember, fashion can be easy and effortless. Just be confident and be YOU.
